Private life as a product
FINAL YEAR PROJECT
Welcome to Panopticon. This is a society where everyone shares their own personal information. A society where intimacy doesn’t exist anymore. Every citizen share what its happening in their lives, what they think and what they like. Panopticon gathers all this information, organizes it and sells it.
This was my Final Project at Kunshtal Design School. The project was tutorized by my teachers Hernan Ordoñez and Belen Ibarrola. It got selected on the MAD2012 festival where I presented the project before 1700 professional designers.
NEXT > NEXT > NEXT > ACCEPT
The Panopticon is an imaginary prison designed by the philosopher Jeremy Bentham in 1791. Michael Foucault -in his book Surveillance and Punishment - considered the design a perfect example of the new technologies, that would be used in the Military, the education, and factories.
The project is divided in three parts: How do we share information, How does Panopticon collect and visualize that information. And third and last: How does Panopticon sell our information.
HOW TO SHARE INFORMATION
The KIT includes: a credit card, social network profile and a phone.
HOW THE INFORMATION IS COLLECTED
Thanks to the information collected with the Kit,
Panopticon now can collect and organize the information.
HOW PANOPTICON SELLS
With all the information organized, the product is ready to sell!
